Dermot had a 30 year career at the RSPCA which included eight years of leading the Inspectorate, a field-based workforce of over 400 staff, managing a 7-day week operation.  Now, an accredited  mediator with a background in investigations, union negotiation, budget, transformation and business planning. Experience in chairing hearings and working groups.

Beyond the leadership roles, Dermot has been a media spokesperson and conference presenter. Having given testimony in various legal settings, ranging from magistrate, crown, and coroner courts, to appearances before a House of Commons Committee.

A qualified coaching professional and a real interest in finding a way through problems, as well as in the development of individuals and teams.

Outside of work, Dermot enjoys walking his 2 dogs and watching sports.
